Perfect for grandaughter
The piano was perfect for my granddaughter's 1st birthday gift. She immediately went to it and "played" her heart out. The age range recommended was 3-5 years and it does seem to be a bit small for children over 3 but it was a big hit with all the little ones and their parents at her party. We don't know yet how it will hold up to being "played" long term. For now it's great! Top to learn more

A very nice child's piano
I was impressed with the quality of this child's toy, that most will remember from many years ago. It seems to be the same thing as many years ago, perhaps with a few short cuts taken in the construction. It sounds just like the "toy" pianos of yesterday. Top to learn more

Cute but Questionable Materials & Quality Control
This fancy-looking Schoenhut toy piano arrived, very well packaged, only to surprise us with a wave of offensive fumes (when we pulled out the thick styrofoam packaging from the outer cardboard package) that made us cough, choking, burning our eyes and throat (strong fumes of formaldehyde & barely dried spray paint).Particle board is used for the piano's construction and although the fit and finish look outstanding, the fact remains that the materials are not the kinds of things you want near your children (particle board emits formaldehyde off-gasses for years). The spray paint and styrofoam packaging also emit very strong fumes of their own, making a 3-in-1 fume whammy for Daddy unpackaging the piano with 4 year old daughter watching, gasping for air.Despite the excellent protective packaging (that sadly emits all those fumes), the parts were incomplete - 6 total additional uneccessary repeat pieces were included and 4 absolutely critically required screws... This is a great first piano for your little one. The sound isn't Piano quality but it's great to learn simple songs. My daughter has had it a month and has learned to play mary had a little lamb.Grant she can't play it on a real piano because the cheat notes are not on the keys but she's only 2 1/2.It's a really cute toy piano! This 30-key Piano is an ideal introduction to music for toddlers and children! Mozart began creating his masterpieces at a young age, proving that it's never too early to begin making music. This child-size piano is just the right size for small hands, and provides the look and feel of a concert-sized grand piano. It features 30 playable keys and has a "baby grand" Piano style. It is made of hardwood and hardboard materials which keep a low price and high durability. It is available in four different colors: Purple, Pink, Black, Blue, and White. The Piano measures: 19 1/4"H x 19 7/8"W x 21 1/2" and the matching bench measures 9 1/4"H x 9 5/8"W x 6 1/2". Top to learn more

My granddaughters love it!
I purchased this for my 6 year old granddaughter for Xmas who was frustrated trying to play 'music' with the kazoo-like thing she was given to use at school. My son was doubtful she would like it due to her bad experience to date with music. Within a few minutes after setting it up, she was playing Silent Night and other songs in the book that came with the piano. The key chart system provided allowed almost instant reward for her efforts to play recognizable tunes. My 8 year old granddaughter also enjoys playing it when she can get the little one away from it. This system is a great introduction into playing the piano, and, because key spacing is regular size, what it learned with it can be carried over to a keyboard or regular piano. I couldn't be happier, and my granddaughter is enjoying making music. Top to learn more
Be Ready to Tinker
My husband and I bought this piano for our 2-year-old daughter for Christmas. We know how she loves to pound on Grandma's piano, and we were impressed that these toys have all the notes in the right places. If you learn to play a song on one of these toys, you can play it on a "real" piano, too!The assembled toy is cute, comes with a handy color-coded bar that explains which key is which and corresponds to colors in their mini songbook that came with the piano: good so far. However, we would never have known what a cute piano this is if my husband weren't a handy guy. Upon first assembly, the keys wouldn't work. My husband spent a couple hours putting this piano together Christmas Eve and getting it to work.Don't be fooled by the German brand! This toy is made in China, and it really showed in the assembly. If you have had trouble assembling things in the past, look for a used or pre-assembled piano. This one isn't for you. Great little piano for young kids
We bought this piano for my two year old daughter as a Christmas present and have been very happy overall. The piano is absolutely adorable- something you wouldn't mind having hang around the living room- and it was pretty straight forward to put together. When I read the reviews for the product, there were a couple complaints about sound quality. It sounds like a children's piano, but we weren't looking for anything professional. I think my only complaints about the product are the piano bench is a little hard for small children to balance themselves on and the piano has a smooth black finish which shows a lot of fingerprints. But then again, so does everything else when you have little ones so you just get used to wiping it down! Top to learn more

The authentic coloration of grand-piano keys can also been seen on the sides of the white keys.
" Posting up behind a white grand piano and accompanied by a string section, Colton hit his falsetto repeatedly to up the drama. Jimmy Iovine said Colton Dixon needed to step out of Phillip Phillips' shadow, so he encouraged the Tennessee titan to up the ante on the song co-written for Eminem by Skylar Grey, "Love the Way You Lie. Her confidence paid off, as Sanchez killed the sultry ballad, showing shades of everyone from Alicia Keys to Jennifer Hudson in a controlled, silky smooth performance that mixed elements of jazz, soul and timeless R&B. Randy loved the arrangement... "This is what you should do, you could have a hit with a song like that," said Randy Jackson, who dubbed it "crazy hot and crazy good," not to mention pitch perfect. At first, low-key pawn shop worker Phillips didn't impress Akon and Jimmy with his attempt to do something a "bit different" with a strummy, DMB-ified cover of Maroon 5's "Give a Little More. As usual, though, the ladies loved it and Jennifer Lopez was again impressed with how Colton coaxed his own unique notes out the tune, which she wished would have been "more of a song. With a playlist of tunes released between 2010 and this year, they had help from guest mentor Akon on a night that featured hits by everyone from Eminem to Pink, Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson and Maroon 5.
” Phillip wasn’t so sure about the song, but he went along with it because Elise loved it. Steven is a big fan of that song right now, and he said Phillip and Elise nailed it. Jennifer loved the feel they brought to the song, and Randy said Elise... For the moody performance, Colton played a big, white grand piano backed up by a string section. Jessica wore a flashy silver top as she delivered the first part of the song sitting on a grand piano. ” Jennifer said Skylar sang with perfect pitch from her soul, and Steven said she “delivered the goods” after admitting he was enamored by the female contestants this season. Jennifer said they did a nice job with that difficult song, but Randy said it was just OK. ” Jennifer loved how Jessica really dug into the lyrics of the song, and Steven said he forgets where he is every time Jessica sings. Jennifer said Joshua’s performances take control of the audience, and Randy called it an unbelievable, in-the-zone performance. Steven called Colton a “rare talent” and said he couldn’t wait to hear him sing original songs some day. Skylar Laine chose to sing Kellie Pickler’s song “Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You,” and Jimmy said she owned it in the mentoring session. Randy said Jessica set the bar really high this week and called the performance “superb.
Seated a white grand piano, his voice sounds a bit like a teeter-totter, sliding from chest voice to falsetto. She almost missed the edge when she went to sit back on the piano at the end, but smiled at the mistake. The giant oscillating black and white pattern behind then proved super distracting, which was disappointing because I enjoyed this patter song and they sang it beautifully. She played the guitar and I felt like it toned her performance way down — and performing is her greatest strength and what really makes her different from the other contestants. RANDY said she was crazy good and thought she could have a hit with a song like this one. JENNIFER said he always surprises her on the way he gets to the notes, and how he always makes it his own, even though she would have liked “more of a song. How many times has the theme been songs from the ‘50s and the judges said they didn’t sound “contemporary”. STEVE said he can sell a song like a work of art. JENNIFER said she nailed it and felt the song come from her soul. This is a very different song for him — it’s very upbeat and a bit rock ‘n roll. STEVEN said when she sings a song, it’s a complete sentence. And a few of the singers aren’t showing that consistency week to week, which puts them in danger. Finally, Idol has listened to its fans and decided to let the contestants pick songs that aren’t from the dark ages. ” STEVEN called him a rare talent and he could have recorded that song right now.

In first solo album, Jack White taps a blue vein
One might expect a solo record to be a more direct line into White, and perhaps if you add up the ingredients — the Rhodes piano, the mirrored effect on a drum beat, the howl of rebellion — it is. But don't go reading the tea leaves for song meanings.
