It's like a marsupial pouch for guitar picks!
I have no idea why anyone would write a review for a guitar pick holder but... Anyway this little Item as you would imagine is really handy. I think in my 7 years playing guitar I have probably purchessed 1000 guitar picks. And at any given time I can find maybe one. Then you clean your house and they turn up everywhere "I don't remember playing guitar on top of the fridge.." This little guy holds about 6 picks snuggly in its little kangaroo pouch. I stuck this to my main acoustic guitar and instead of sticking the little pick inbetween the strings I just stick it in the holder. And when I clean and start finding loose picks everywhere I just stick them back in the holder. The little adhesive strip keeps it really snug on the guitar, and im sure a little goo be gone will remove residue after you don't want the holder anymore. Anyways If you actually read this review thanks and buy it you won't be dissapointed. Your everything guide -Andrew

Great Idea For Kids!!!
We bought this pickholder for my 6 year old son who just got a guitar for Christmas. The pickholder has a little peice of paper on the back of it that you just peel off and then stick the holder on your guitar. It's great to not have to worry about him losing his picks. I think the holder fit about 10 picks in it. The picks fit into the holder perfectly and come out with ease. Great product, especially for kids.

My First Pick!
Yeah, so this holder is probably the best thing that happened to me since I started playing. I used to always lose my picks, but this holder stopped that from happening. 5 stars man!

Works great for the price
Works great on my Ovation acoustic/electric. As other reviewer's have said, you do have to squeeze it a little hard open it, but it's not really an issue. Most guitar players have well developed muscles in their left hand anyway.

7 Months and still works great.
I know most people would look at this and think for the price it can't be that great. But it does everything a capo should do and well. I've had no trouble with it coming apart, and if it does, I guarantee I will replace it with the exact same one. You absolutely cannot go wrong for the price.

Circle of Fifths Unfurled
I bought this item to have a handy reference guide for learning music theory on the guitar and have beenthoroughly pleased and impressed with how smart and useful this gizmo has been. Not being a trained musician, this has helped me understand aspects of music theory as a stand alone aid and is even better when used inconjunction with other music theory books. This tool takes some effort to understand (there's lots of informationcontained on it), but it proves to be an extremely useful reference tool once you learn how to use it.Much more than a circle of fifths wheel!

Very good tool that helps understand music theory very quickly
Sometimes you get lucky in life. I did. I was checking out my latest copy of Guitar Player magazine and there it was: The Guitar Wheel! As a guitar teacher, I am always looking for material that will make my life and my students' studies easier, and here it was laid out in front of me. I ordered mine immediately, and it is the only material that I require my students to purchase for study. Here are a couple of reasons why.The Guitar Wheel not only has a "Guitar Side" that shows the correct string numbering for newbies, but it also has a "Music Theory" side with a "Piano Keyboard" that I find very useful to illustrate intervals and to fix in my students heads the relationships of B to C and E to F.Right above the keyboard are your "Enharmonic Equivalents" which helps get you oriented to the idea that notes (pitches) can and do have multiple names i.e.; A# =Bb, B=Cb. "Concert Pitch" is illustrated, and this is very important if you are playing...

Useful tool!
Most of the other reviews have pretty much covered just about everything I would say however I still want to say I love this tool. Not being someone who has had a lot of theory under my belt, it's been useful to help me learn the letters of keys. Slowly I am making progress at memorizing key signatures so that I know where I am on the fretboard & where I can go from there. I use it by putting it on my music stand, dialing in the key I want, turn on the drum machine & simply play the chords in that key to the beat. Then when I want to practice the relevant scales of the key, I simply look at the letters and count the fingering for the corresponding note. It's that easy.I will say that I do agree that the instructions are a wee bit too thin for my taste but music notation & theory is not a subject that the average player is adept with. Most folks are self taught like moi where theory is concerned. To really grasp it, one simply has to plod along actually performing the...

Very happy with the Pick set
Pretty short and sweet. The picks are well made, brightly colored (so people who lose *everything* within 5 minutes -like myself- can find them), came in different (bright) colors, and the right amount came in the package. Plus the price was good. Highly recommended.

Planet Waves Standard Guitar Picks--Right for Any Hand

When it comes to playing a guitar, nothing but the best will do. That's why Planet Waves Medium Standard Guitar Picks are the right choice. They are the right tool for the job, which is producing awesome music. Stylish in pearlized colors, these medium guitar picks are the most popular picks out there today. Not too thin and not too heavy, they are just right for every guitar-playing style.

Attractive, stylish, beautiful sound.

The Right Fit No Matter the Age
It does not matter if this pick will be used by someone who is six-years old or sixty-years old, the Planet Waves Standard guitar pick will be just what the doctor ordered. The pearl finish is attractive enough for kids to want to use, thick enough not to snap when used on electric guitars, and thin enough not to muddle the sound of the strings.

Why a Medium Guitar Pick?
A medium guitar pick is 0.73–0.81 mm or 0.028–0.031 inches thick. When playing rock or heavier music, or while playing electric guitar with hi-gain amplification or distortion, thinner picks produce muddier, less precise, less controlled sound while thicker picks produce more specific, more controlled and well-shaped tone. Thinner picks also tend to rip or tear more often if used too forcefully, whereas a thicker one is less likely to wear down. Thicker picks are generally used in more discrete genres, such as heavy metal or power metal.

Comes in a 10-pack of assorted pearlized colors.

Celluloid, Historically Speaking
Invented in 1856, celluloid is considered the first invented thermoplastic. This was the first plastic ever used to produce picks, and it is still used today--especially for guitarists aiming for vintage tone. Celluloid is easily molded and shaped, and it was first widely used as an ivory replacement. Easy to manufacture, easy to produce, celluloid is the favored pick of guitarists around the world.

A useful tool to save space and get you to practice more often
This thing isn't some fancy item with tons of features to review, but it does what it's supposed to: it grips your guitar or bass securely, saves some floor space, displays your instrument nicely, and puts it in plain sight and arm's reach so that you can practice more often. I also like the fact that it's wood and not some ugly polyethelyne plastic or something like that. As I couldn't find a stud in my wall, I mounted this thing on the side of my wood bookshelf and it looks and works beautifully. One thing: DO NOT JUST DRILL ANYWHERE INTO YOUR WALL FOR THIS THING!! Make sure you mount it in a stud or on some significant piece of wood, because odds are some day the weight of your guitar or bass will rip it out of drywall and then you may or may not have damaged your instrument. So, buy one or five of these and make a nice display of your axes.-Stephen

Great deal
I've purchased similar wall hangers from some of the online musical instrument dealers for $12 to $14 and was skeptical when I saw these for around $9. I am happy to report that the structural quality is as high as the more expensive options and (to my surprise) the wood grain is much better looking than the picture would indicate.Others have suggested that these be mounted to a stud but the included drywall anchors, when installed correctly, are very secure and would easily withstand the heaviest guitar you have (unless, perhaps, you play a 4" thick solid ebony instrument). If your studs are 16" apart, you could utilize them (staggered mounting if necessary) and get a fairly dense wall of guitars but if your studs are 24" apart you'll have a large (8"+) gap between instruments and may wish to opt for drywall anchors for some instruments as I have. The back of my acoustic instruments (000, 00, Parlor & Classical) sit well clear of the back wall so I haven't had the...

Received CC01K, not CC01
Although the listing indicates Model CC01, I received CC01K. These models are slightly different. The CC01K is a newer product. Compared to the older CC01, it has a deeper yoke and does not include keeper rings. The older CC01 has a wider yoke and includes keeper rings. Some of the pictures here are the CC01, and some are the CC01K. Both are still made. If you order it here, I guess it is a crap shoot which one you will receive. Also note that the listing is incorrect when it states the yoke has an adjustable width. This is not true. It can pivot to accommodate asymmetrical head stock, but its width cannot be adjusted. I verified this with a visit to the manufacturer's website.

Guitar insurance
I broke my first and only guitar neck several years ago when I was a junior high-schooler in my first rock band. I remember that sick feeling when I watched from across the room as my guitar slid down the side of a chair and hit the hard basement floor. In the decades since, I've owned just about every kind of guitar stand they make. They all work well, to varying degrees, but what they all have in common is that they're another piece of equipment that needs to be hauled along to jams, gigs and practice. If you're an active player, it doesn't matter how many stands you own: Sooner or later, you're going to be in a situation where you need to prop up your axe, even if it's just for a minute. So, I bought one of these little guys as soon as I heard about them. I was skeptical because A: They're small and B: They're cheap. On the other hand, they're small and cheap, so what have I got to lose, right?I'm happy to report that the Planet Waves Guitar Rest works as advertised...

Effective: cost and function
I use this both at home and on stage. It is nice to not have to be chasing after a stand at the house when I am swapping between my mandolin and acoustic. On stage, it is interesting that other peoples' guitars end up on my stand. So I have an alternative now with this little device. Love the pick (stuff) holder feature as well. Worth the cost? Absolutely!

Product Description

The Planet Waves Guitar Rest turns any flat surface into a guitar stand. Simply lay the Guitar rest over the edge of any level surface and lean your instrument against the "neck pocket” of the guitar rest. The surface friction of the guitar rest will resist movement on practically all surfaces. Top to learn more

Need higher table for les Paul body shapes.
The neck rest works very well. It keeps the guitar from tilting over when you lean it against a table or any edge. It looks like a cup plate that hangs over the edge to provide a grip to your guitar. It is made out of heavy rubber and will last a long time. The place where you drop guitar picks in can better be served if you weight it down with something heavy to make sure it doesn't fall off the edge. However, my only complaint is that I'm using a guitar with a les Paul body shape where the body is close to the 20th fret instead of open like in modern electric guitars. This means that the grip doesn't wrap around the fret board. This isn't a problem if the table is higher up the fret board and the grip can have access to the neck. Not realy a problem with the product, just that those of us with a les Paul body shape will have less flexability when using this device.
