Best Inexpensive Guitar Out There
I purchased this as my first ever electric guitar. I can safely say that I am more than satisfied with my purchase. Initially I was a little skeptical about buying such a low cost guitar because I had heard that they didn't sound too good and went out of tune easily. However, at the same time I couldn't justify spending $300 on my first guitar. So after reading a few reviews, I chose this guitar. I am EXTREMELY pleased and satisfied with my purchase and would buy this guitar again without hesitation. Let me tell you, this guitar sounds amazing and it stays IN TUNE! It has awesome sustain and that classic Telecaster sound and feel. How many guitars below $200 can you say that about? This is definitely a guitar that will last you many years. I would recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a low-cost Telecaster. I just only wish they had this very same model in different colors but that doesn't really matter in this price range. You WANT this guitar! It is amazing.

More twang for your buck!
This guitar is an amazing specimen. The tone alone is worth twice what it costs here, and then there's the look of it. The photos just don't do the piece justice. The grain on the body is exemplary. On the back you can see one joint line, but on the front, it is invisible completely, yet the guitar has no obvious veneer on the top. With a good amp, it's the genuine Tele tone by the bucketload. Mine arrived set up excellently, I had already booked a trip to the shop to have it professionally worked on, but it needed nothing. Right out of the box, it needed to be tuned and that was IT. No fiddling with the saddles, no goofing with the truss rod, no nothing. un-box, tune, and boom-chicka-boom your way into a Luther Perkins lick like the man himself. Even as a confirmed Strat guy, I'm sold on the Tele. It's not greatly uncomfortable to play, the neck is a teeny bit thicker (but narrower, so it works out well for stubby fingers). In short, if you like the classic Tele twang, and you've got...

I'm happy with this guitar.
For the money, I have absolutely no complaints about this guitar. It was well-intonated and set up from the factory, and it stays in tune quite well. I'm using D'Addario 9-42's and love the way it plays and sounds. Not mind-blowing pickups, but they're not noisy and nothing has come loose. Yeah, the nut's cheap thin plastic, but that's an easy upgrade. After it was in the house a few dry winter months I had to file the fret ends a bit too, but you've gotta expect that sort of thing. This is the kind of guitar that a beginner would probably not appreciate, thinking that dollars equal quality, but for somebody who knows better, this axe is a real sleeper. The maple neck is very high quality, tight grained wood, with a comfy and fast profile, and the whole guitar is light. It's my everyday player and I couldn't be happier with it.

Product Description

This new version of Tony Bacon's Six Decades of the Fender Telecaster shows how the world's first commercially successful solidbody electric guitar still attracts musicians more than 60 years since its birth in California. Today, it is more popular than ever and for many guitarists has overtaken the Stratocaster as the Fender to own and play. The Tele is the longest-lived solidbody electric, played by everyone from Muddy Waters to Keith Richards, from Radiohead to Snow Patrol. Its sheer simplicity and versatility are vividly illustrated here through interviews with Jeff Beck, James Burton, Bill Kirchen, John 5, and more. The book is three great volumes in one: a compendium of luscious pictures of the most desirable Teles, a gripping story from the earliest days to the latest exploits, and a detailed collector's guide to every Tele ever made. Packed with pictures of great players, collectable catalogs, period press ads, and cool memorabilia, The Telecaster Guitar Book is the one Tele book that all guitar fans will want to add to their collection. Wonderful Reference Book
If you want to know anything about the Senior Electric Fender Guitar, this is it. It is the best and most complete book about the Tele. It talks about: Pickups, History of the Tele, Wiring, How to tell the age, it has some Great Pictures and much. much more. A must have for any Tele owner.

This book sticks to its subject and explores it well
I bought this book after buying a Fender Telecaster guitar. The book is very informative as to the history of the guitar, from its origins in the early 50's through its various subtle changes over the years and up to the present time. The book is both detailed and concise. It contains much info on the guitar, but not "more than you'd ever want to know." It is well-photographed, well written, and generally was everything I had hoped it would be when I ordered it.

Very good, basic review of Telecaster Guitar - good value
The strength of this book is the balance between length and information. It does not offer a lot of "star reviews" on the Telecaster, rather it concentrates on the history of the guitar itself. This is a good value.
