Awesome Guitar
I got this guitar because i had recently purchased an electric guitar and thought it was time to pick up an acoustic, fortunately i got this one! i got it in about 3 days and it was avalable at a really good price. The guitar came with basically everything you need to start playing and the chromatic tuner it came with was even better then the one that came with my electric guitar! This guitar has a GREAT sound and quality, i would definately buy it again!

Great set up for beginners!
This is a great set up for beginners. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this package again. I can't find anything major to complain about, and my 11 year old son is loving his first electric guitar! An older person or someone who has more experience with guitars in general, may find this package lacking, as they most likely have all those little extras that this Fender comes with. I would recommend looking for a hard case, as I feel that the jam bag that comes with the guitar, won't protect it as well as a regular case. All in all, a great value!

Fantastic Buy For The Money
This is a nice quality guitar, which comes with a stand, pics, tuner, strings, strap and amplifier... can't beat the price. The picture shows there should be a guitar case with the pack, but it doesn't come with one, which seems a little deceiving. If they're not going to include the case, then don't show it in the picture. Other than that, it's a great quality guitar with all the needed accessories for a great price. Recommended!

Starcaster breaks the mold!
The guitar looks beautiful- a fiery maple sunburst finish on a sturdy, well-finished wooden body; and it sounds even better, especially when hooked up to the amp! The strings take some getting used to, at least when one is a beginner, but they sound clear and crisp when plucked. The amp clarifies the sound enough that one can tell exactly which notes were hit and if a finger so much as brushed against the wrong string, magnifying the smallest vibrations produced by pick or fingers at the fret. And the tuner will help narrow down the correct tension in the string to produce an accurate note, although it sometimes takes a minute to work and seems to have trouble identifying the notes or the string. The pics cover the entire color spectrum. The stand and carrying case work perfectly. So far I have not used any extra strings, but they will probably be easy to affix when necessary and sound just the same as the original strings. AWESOME
I was very skeptical at first as I have been burned by online things that seemed like a great deal just to find out they weren't. When this product arrived, I was amazed at the quality of the guitar itself. So then I proceeded to set up the amp and plug in the guitar. The sound was absolutely incredible. This was a great deal at a steal of a price. I went to a guitar store, saw the same package deal, for about $50 more than what I paid. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quality guitar. The only downside was the gig bag that came with it, but I picked up a new one at the local guitar store for about $50.

great guitar
great guitar, the sound is awesome and it is very easy to play. The built in tuner makes tuning much faster and can be done at any time. What is not said is that you need a 9v battery for it to work. (no problem just would have liked a heads up) and if you buy this guitar buy a hard case as well. The case that comes with is is like a rain coat. Definitely worth the purchase though!

Awesome Package!
This guitar package is great! I am a beginner and it is great to start off with. The guitar is absolutely beautiful and the accessories are really great. It comes with a dozen picks, an instruction booklet, chromatic tuner, and gig bag. The guitar sounds wonderful. The only con that I have is that the action seems a little high, therefore making it a little tough on beginner's hands. But anything will be tough on a beginner's hands because we are not used to pressing down on thin (or thick for that matter) pieces of steel. Other than that, it is awesome!UPDATE: After having the action adjusted by a pro at a guitar repair shop, the guitar is even more of an absolute joy to play! It does not hurt my fingers hurt at all anymore. So if you are having problems with the action being too high, take it to a local guitar repair shop and have them look at it and adjust it. Your fingers will thank you!!! GREAT GUITAR!!

Fender Review
I purchased this guitar for my husband as a beginning player. He is very satisfied now that he has found good strings to replace the original. But no biggie, strings need to be replaced on a regular basis anyway. It has a nice tone and is a nice looking guitar. We purchased another case for the guitar also. But I didn't buy the kit for the guitar cover. I would recommend this product as we both are happy with the purchase.

Great Guitar Package!
I am a bass guitar player, and own/have owned several bass guitars, including a Fender Mustang and currently a Fender Precision (Sting signature series). I have also owned a Fender Squier (6-string) guitar before. We ordered the Starcaster guitar package for my middleschool daughter.It's a great guitar with great sound; honestly, the sound is fantastic. And there are a lot of peripheral items included at a fabulous price. We've had no problems at all with the cord or amp, and the sound that little amp makes it really clear. Hit the overdrive, and you get a nice distortion sound. You can't control the amount of overdrive (it's either on or off), but for a beginner or for household use, it's perfect. The compact guitar stand is very stable for its size.A few other reviewers have criticized the guitar for string buzz. Well, you can adjust the bridge very easily. Great Start For A Beginner Guitarist
I read all of the product reviews before buying this guitar and finally decided it would be worth the risk. And I was right, it was worth it. The shipping box came with a few dings in it, but the product is packed very well. There was absolutely no damage to anything inside the box. As a beginning guitarist, I think the product is excellent. The little amp seems to have a lot of volume and good tone, and the guitar is very well made from what I can tell. It sounds good, feels good, and plays very well. And contrary to everything I read, the frets are not sharp on the ends. In fact mine are beveled and smooth.I do however have two small complaints. It seems like everyone has either the red or starburst colors, so I opted for the midnight blue. Well, it's midnight alright. It's so dark, that you need a really bright light or sunlight just to be able to tell it's not black. And then it looks more of a dark purple than blue. My second complaint was a buzz from the 5th (A)...

Fender Strat Pack
I ordered this product as it was a featured product during the month of February 2009. I feel that the product that I got for the sale price was very much worth the money.Please understand that I am a novice electric guitar player. I have played acoustic guitar for several years and wanted to get a 2nd guitar...an electric guitar...to play around with.All in all, the guitar is perfect for what I need. Solid starter pack
I am new to the guitar but not a total beginner in music and was thrilled all that you get in the package. Both the guitar and amp are more than adequate as a practice rig for a beginner. I am impressed that the hardware to adjust the truss and string action were included. The guitar has a beautiful sunburst finish with reddish brown pickguard. Everything was functional and easy to use, although I will say the strap is a little loose and the stand is a little light, but what more can you expect for $149. The small amp gets pretty buzzy and noisy around 7-8, but if you keep the volume below blasting, the sound quality is good enough.If you're doing performances, I would definitely upgrade the strap, tuners, stand and amp, but for just starting out, this package is more than adequate.

My First Guitar
Overall I think this is a good starter kit.the body seems to be great, the neck and frets are good; the only bad part is the head, it's rough and could have been finished way better, not well sanded , rough spots around the edge and not much finish - no gloss to it at all.seems to tune up ok and play ok, the only buzz i hear so far is my novice fingering.the electronic tuner had no real instructions to speak of so i found a you-tube video that told me what to do.the dvd is a cut down version and imho is missing what the new user needs the most - HOW TO SETUP and HOW TO TUNE!the "Pick Sampler" well really they just put in 3 medium picks that were only different in color, it would have been better if they gave us different ones like hard, medium or whatever...the amp seems like a good first amp.like i said this seems fair as a starter.
