Solution to the Adapter Problem
Prior to ordering this item, i read most of the reviews. The common problem seems to be the adapter that comes with this package. It isnt the original Casio adapter, and this seems to cause equipment failure if used. This is what I did and recommended for you to do as well: Rather than getting this package where the keyboard, adapter (generic), and keyboard stand come together, go to the listing on Amazon that just sells the keyboard alone. Then on that same page, it gives you the option to add the adapter and keyboard stand to the purchase. I believe the total then comes out to $129 altogether. This is $10 more than the listing where the give you the package deal with the generic adapter. I personally feel its worth spending an extra $10 to get the original casio adapter rather than using the generic which the casio instruction manual says not to use (or else risk equipment failure). I just purchased it in the way I mentioned above, got in the mail last week, and... Top to learn more

Excellent for the Price
This is a REALLY good value for the price (I paid $128). The headphones took a while to figure out how to use, but the quality of the rest of the set more than makes up for that. I didn't realize when I bought this, but it's a teaching keyboard and has a number of songs programed into it that it will break down and teach you to play. You can also hook it up directly to your computer or radio and download songs onto it that way. Not to mention the volume control. So. Amazing. Top to learn more

Excellent Keyboard for the Price
I was completely satisfied with this purchase in every way. I picked up this item for $99.00 including the AC adapter, jamstand and headphones and got Free Shipping. Everything arrived in 3 days of my online order in excellent condition via FedEx. I am a beginner and learning to read music, this keyboard teaches and reinforces all those skills. It is light and easy to transport. The stand was quick and easy to assemble. Everything was well-packaged, easy to find and remove from the box. I was all set up and ready to play in about 15 min. My church is planning on picking up 4 more at this price for the music program. Highly recommend this item. Top to learn more

Can this really be Casio?
My first keyboard was a Casio. My brother bought it for me when I was 12. It was little more than a 24 note toy, but it was mine and I was proud to own it. As I grew into my music and more serious about performing, I became jaded and picky about my instruments. Casio had a well earned reputation for being cheap, low end starter boards. The most expensive keyboard I ever owned was a Yamaha DX7 FD. Until now, I never owned a full sized, 88 note keyboard, let alone, a keyboard with realistic action. Enter the Casio PX-130. Exit all my preconceptions about Casio. Look and Feel: I love the classic, uncluttered look of the instrument. It has minimal buttons and lights. There is no screen. It first and foremost wants to be a piano. It succeeds. It will look right at home in a studio, a church, or a living room. As for feel, when playing, I have to remind myself that it is not an acoustic. My fingers are convinced that these keys are...

Absolutely Amazing
There are several excellent reviews already, so I'll try to make this short, and will focus on the specific reasons I bought this keyboard. First, let me say that I've been playing piano for 32 years. 14 of those years I played professionally (as in, I got paid to play; nothing too fancy, but I'm just trying to establish some credibility as a musician). I've played several hundred different pianos and keyboards over the years. I own, in fact, an Alesis QS8 keyboard, which was a phenomenal keyboard when it came out 12-13 years ago, and is still in use and highly sought after today. However, the thing must be made of bricks. And the hard shell case needed to protect it weighs a ton too. And, the amp that you have to take with you everywhere you go wasn't too light either. I found myself missing opportunities to play at times because I just didn't want to lug everything around. So, I started looking for a lighter keyboard, and I came across the PX-130...

An Eye-opener
I studied piano for about 10 years when I was younger. 20 years later I decided to take it back up again and went looking for a digital piano that I could live with. I found the Casio PX-130. No, as anybody will tell you, it's not the same as a "real" piano. If you're buying a digital piano thinking you'll get a baby grand in an oblong box, you're kidding yourself. What you will get for your money with this piano, however, is a fantastic digital piano for the price, so let's talk about that. 1. The action of this piano is constantly surprising to me with how natural and responsive it feels. It does not feel like a "keyboard" instead, it has the feel of some of the less hammer-y Japanese pianos I've played or a Rhodes that is in good shape. 2. Touch response on this piano is good. It is not great but it is definitely "good." No digital instrument is going to be able to reproduce the level of dynamic response which even a cheap piano can make, so...

Great Piano for the Price!
I purchased this digital piano because the one I had was out of date. And because I teach piano online and needed something that sounded like a real piano. Well, I wasn't disappointed. The difference between the old Roland and this new Casio is like night and day! The touch is fantastic. The piano sound is fantastic. And since I really only need the piano sound, that was of primary importance to me. If you've been wary of buying this because of the 'Casio' name, put your worries to rest. Casio is to digital pianos as to what Samsung now is to television. They're now poised to become the #1 resource. My recommendation? Buy it before the price goes up. Top to learn more
A great digital piano for apartment living
I missed playing piano since moving into my new apartment, but wanted something that would give me the experience of playing on an acoustic piano - weighted keys, and a more substantial, 'furniture-y' appearance than just a keyboard. This piano was a fantastic deal, with lots of features and the very necessary headphone capability for apartment living. Most importantly, the sound of the piano is very good, even coming from past experiences on grand pianos - it sounds like an acoustic upright. The resonance of the higher notes is better than that of the much lower, but it's not very noticeable when playing. Came with clear instructions. Assembly took two people and over 30 minutes. Once assembled, however, it's difficult to move the piano, so keep that in mind when you're getting it set up. Also, the included bench is built like a rock but is still comfortable. Overall, I'm thrilled with this purchase. I'm not sure what other extra features you get for the... Top to learn more

Excellent budget digital piano.
We were on a tight budget when we bought this a couple of years ago, at Costco for CDN$799. Our son was 4, and we were getting ready to enrol him in lessons. I did not play piano growing up, but I can play many other instruments, and have played professionally in bars for 23 years. My main goals were to get something that would: 1) approximate the feel of a real piano. = does a very good job. The weighted keys respond nicely to speed and pressure. You can play loud or soft, with no buzz. There is some mild 'clunking' on some of the keys, but I've noticed that on real pianos. I would NOT say that the touch is the SAME as a real piano, but it's close. 2) approximate the sound of a real piano. = I think the sound is excellent. One of the only ways I notice a difference is that it's so homogeneous in volume and tone and tuning that it couldn't be real. It's also great to be able to say to my son "Can you turn that down a bit, please? We're trying to... Top to learn more

I love my Casio
This little keyboard is great, it's compact so I can take it anywhere I want. The sound (to me anyway) is good, very responsive when each key is press. Their are many features as well such as 10 Song Bank,50 Patterns,100 tones, tempo, and great volume control. It even has a small LCD so you can see the notes your hitting. The keyboard does not come with batteries or a AC Adapter,(I brought this in my JR Music store in NY and they told me next month or maybe in the distant future you will be able to purchase one for it. It takes 6 batteries I don't care for an adapter because I use rechargeable batteries and don't want to be stuck in one place when playing. I'm new to pianos and this will be a very good beginner one for me or even kids might love it as well, but an adult can use it if they don't want to carry a big heavy one with them everywhere they go, The back of the keyboard is orange and the front is black so I really like the colors on it and the design. Cool little keyboard!
This keyboard fits into my slightly larger backpack. Its portability allows me to carry it around and work out melodic and harmonic ideas for the songs I write when I'm away from home. The eight-note polyphony is really helpful for chording. A problematic issue exists with the Casio SA-75 power adaptor that is advertised as an optional accessory on the Amazon page that features the keyboard. The adaptor isn't compatible because the jack-end doesn't fit into the 9.5 volt terminal on the back of the keyboard. The manual claims the six batteries required to operate the keyboard will last for about six hours, though. I contacted the seller of the SA-75 adaptor and they told me that the correct adaptor for the SA-76 keyboard won't be available until December 2010. The tones are clear and reasonably distinctive, perhaps slightly less so in the brass. The rhythm patterns cover all the basics, and there's more than enough volume control to play with... Buy The Right Adapter
The other reviews do a good job covering the size, sound, and features... so I'm skipping those. The overall package is reasonable for the price. The only draw back to this little keyboard is the missing power adapter. It wouldn't be so bad if the description or technical specs provided clear documentation to assist in locating an adapter that would work. Since this information is lacking, I've taken the liberty to do a little research and provide some direction. The hard part identifying a suitable adapter is decoding the adapter specs. While the voltage and amperage are usually easy to decipher, the jack size is almost always a convoluted mess to discern. Companies may or may not employ standard jacks based on voltage. In this case everyone is fortunate Casio employs a standard "L" receiver jack. For more info on jack sizes use RadioShack's Adaptaplug conversion matrix: [...]. Knowing the voltage and jack type makes finding a suitable power adapter easy... Top to learn more

Great buy for the money...
It sounds and feels great for a digital piano. It does only come with about 10 voices, but if you're learning to play or just want to play most standard songs you don't need all of the others. It doesn't have all the 'bells and whistles', it is pretty basic. But it does have the ability to do quite a bit... you just have to read the instructions to learn how to access them using the actual piano keys as opposed to having a button for specific functions (like changing the key signature on the metronome, changing reverb settings, or adding duel voices). One down side is that it only has midi connections (no usb ports), but it's not a real big deal. usb would be nice, but you can transfer all the data you need to and from your computer or other midi device pretty quickly with the midi connections... you just have to buy a midi-usb adapter to connect to the computer. Two quarter inch audio jacks for headphones or PA. Full 88 Weighted keys. For someone looking for a portable,... Top to learn more

Careful about stand choice
I was really excited to get this piano. I chose it for the wighted keys and sound. I ran into trouble with the stand however. Amazon and Best Buy recommended an "X" style stand, which is totally wrong for this table top keyboard. Now I have to order and wait for the Yamaha L-85 stand. Don't know if anyone else had this problem, but don't do what I did. Top to learn more

Very nearly PERFECT
After finally deciding it was time to upgrade, i've begun the quest of finding the PERFECT keyboard. I am only able to compare the P95 to my Korg N-one so far and of course to the real pianos i`ve played. Hands down the Yamaha P95 is the most touchy feely digital piano i`ve ever had the pleasure to play. It invites expression, something i really was missing from my acoustic piano days. So that`s marvellous. The tone is `nearly`` perfect. Still think there must be a better one out there, but i haven`t found it yet. This is as close as i`ve come so far to sound perfection, for the acoustic piano sound. The other sounds are sadly lacking but that`s not what i need it for. So for feel, full marks, acoustic piano tone nearly full marks. Ease of operation - to be honest i did not get the manual as this is a rental. I`m sure with a manual you could figure out all the ins and outs. But for just sit down and play, record while you play, play it back, add a bit of strings, all simple... Top to learn more

Good accessory
This pedal assembly attaches easily to the stand that is made for the keyboard and has a special plug that mates with a separate connection under the piano. I have two of the Privia PX 330s, one with the stand and this pedal attachment, the other on a portable stand with standard sustain pedal on the floor plugged into its own 1/4" jack, also on the keyboard. This pedal assembly is so much better because it has all three pedals and they don't slide around on the floor like the single sustain pedal I use on the other PX 330. This is a very clever solution for a keyboard you don't intend to take out a lot. The four screws that hold the keyboard to the stand have very fine threads so need lots of turning to loosen or tighten, and the special plug assembly for the pedals is under the keyboard and is also a bit tricky to remove and replace. So if you get the stand and the pedal assembly do so with a keyboard you intend to leave connected to the pedals and the stand most of the time. Top to learn more

Does the job, but disappointed with the quality
This pedal board is plastic. It is also a medium grey color, matching part of the px-130 keyboard. The board itself is much flimsier than I expected. What I was expecting was veneered or, foil covered particleboard, the same material that the sturdy stand is made of. Well, its not. It does look more finished than the sustain pedal attached to a cord, but when compared to the px-130 which exceeded my expectations in most regards, and the stand, which was pretty much the Ikea quality I expected, this pedal board underwhelmed. Also, the pedals are short and relatively difficult to depress. I used them with only socks on, and they weren't very comfortable to use, and not at all like a real piano. In shoes, they might be OK. Anyway, I won't return it, because that would be more trouble than its worth. I would give it 2.5 stars if that were possible, since I view it as between "It's OK" and "I don't like it" Nevertheless, the whole ensemble, keyboard, stand and board are nice... Top to learn more
Functional, but disappointing quality
This pedal board works and is designed to work work the PX-130 and the stand for the PX-130. But the quality is disappointing. The pedals themselves are heavy, reasonably attractive, and functional, but the board is made of light, cheap feeling plastic. It's basically the only choice for the PX-130 if you want to round out the unit with a stand and pedals, but I was choosing between several digital pianos, some of which had larger integrated cases, and the low build quality of this pedal board is another strike against the choice I made. Overall, I'm okay with the PX-130 with the CS67 stand and SP32 pedal board, but not really thrilled, and kind of wonder if I might have been better off had I picked one of my other options. the price was also quite affordable for me although the shipment cost me somewhat extra but i didn’t want to drive around spending on gas and mileage either …. and guess what: the instrument turned out to be both the right thing in terms of size... since i’ve been playing keyboards since ancient times myself, i wanted something really ‘fit’ for her little finger size as well as very simple, “as plain as a piano” so to say: no rhythms or preset sounds or dandy candy stuff, not even saved songs. and the voice, although not quite a piano, is still fairly close enough if you don’t expect something this small and low-priced to do miracles for you in fact it is of a good build way above its price range. just a plain musical instrument with one tempered sound, again, pretty much similar to a piano …. and i also wanted it to be *polyphonic* too.
If you are prepared for all of the above issues, then look again at the pros and cons of pianos versus electronic piano keyboards.
