Everything I could ask for and more
This drum set exceeded my expectations in every way. It came complete with cymbals, drum sticks, all stands/hardware, and a drum stool. Was pretty easy to put together with the supplied web site and video (took approx. 1 hour from start to finish). It has a sharp look to it, and has a good sound - it's definitely loud! My neighbors are going to love me. It appears to be very sturdy. Really can't think of any negatives, and I'd highly recommend it to anybody looking for a beginner/starter set.

Fantastic deal
To start out, don't listen to these snobs, this drum set sounds great, and the contents and price make it a great bargain. This set does come with everything you need to start playing. It even includes a tool/key to tighten the tension rods (I didn't realize it was there until I was all finished). The snare comes put together, and the snares are made of steel. All and all if you tune the drums right, it will sound great. This is a full size drum set, but it come disassembled and enclosed in two medium sized boxes, so don't freak out when you receive the boxes, thinking you mistaken it for a junior size. Now for the people snubbing this product, keep in mind that your getting a standard drum set, not just 5 drums. And if you dont like the sound of the drums, then re-tune it. i have owned MANY practice pads sets for my drum set trying to practice quietly and these are the best, VERY quiet due to the wood the pads on own it make it very quite for a drum set and they actually have a close response to how real drums feel unlike most practice pads for drum sets do. Great drum kit for kids
DeRosa by Bridgecraft *BLUE* Child Drum Set with Seat, Sticks & Cymbal -DRM 312My wife and I were looking at drums for younger children. Much of ones seen in kids toy stores ar just that - cheap kids toys that don't look like they would last very long if at all. We found this drum kit and ordered it. It arrived in less than one week (Thanksgiving got in the way)and it arrived in fine condition. Make no mistake, this a quality instrument for children, not just a "toy". It looks like it will stand up to a childs use for a long time to come and Vintage Drum has repair parts available if needed. When is the last time you saw that? The drums actually sound like drums should. My wife and I can hardly wait for Christmas to see our Grandaughter's face when she gets them!

Quality kid set
We got this set for our two year old and could not be happier. The quality of the drums are great for the price and I was actually surprised at how "professional" they were. Our son loves to bang away and this will be a suitable set for a few years, at least.All drums include tuning keys so that the tightness and sound can be modified. There is a snare drum, a bass drum, a tom drum and a crash cymbal, along with a quality little stool.Pros -Quality "toy" (not really a toy, but an actual instrument)PriceCons -As mentioned by others, the assembly instructions are TERRIBLE (we actually got instructions, but they were a photocopy and unreadable), but we figured it out in no time by looking at the picture online.I have to say, if you are looking for a quality set that can be enjoyed for years to come and then passed along (not thrown away), this is it.

I spent close to a month mulling over a myriad of choices before settling on the Gammon Percussion 5-Pieces Junior Drum Set complete package. I had two conflicting goals going into this purchase: I wanted a decent-quality kit that would last a while, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money. After assembling this kit, I feel both of my goals have been satisfied.Last summer I set up a portion of my drum set to see if my then 3.5 y/o son would be interested in it. He was initially, but after about a week, the drums fell silent and were eventually packed away from whence they came. In early February this year, he began asking about my drums on an almost daily basis. I set the kit up again, and he played it for a few minutes before moving on to something else. Great Starter Set
My 10 year old son & his 12 year old brother have a "rock band". Santa brought this for the 10 year old for Xmas. He is taking lessons & this set has been wonderful. It was easy to put together & the sound is great, especially considering the price.Considering my house has 4 kids & a drum set is irresistable to ALL of them - the set has surived w/o mishap. It seems built to "take a licking".I am sure there are better sets he'll get as he continues to improve & outgrows this set -- but I am VERY pleased. More importantly - so is my son!!

Not Bad For Price
I purchased a set of these Gammon Drums a few years ago and I have to say that for the price, their not too bad. To be honest though the cymbals are absolute trash. They sound like you are banging on trash can lids. They need to be upgraded immediately. The drummer's throne is OK for a lightweight like a kid but will not stand up for long to the weight of an adult. Mine bent after the first day. However the drums themselves are not bad. The heads are tolerable for a beginner and can be upgraded at a later date for a better sound. The drums themselves are well constructed and with better heads can sound good for many years. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone wanting to play professionally but for a beginner set they fit the bill, other than the cymbals. Figure on investing a couple of hundred dollars to upgrade to decent cymbals. I'm 57 years old and have played in a lot of garage bands over the years, mostly guitar and bass but have always wanted to play the drums. I...

Great Toy!!
We bought this drum set for our 3 yr old for Christmas. We've had other cheaper drum sets that didn't last very long. This set is well worth the money. Our son is musically inclined and plays with it constantly. The set comes with its own stool and set of drum sticks. The drums and cymbols are of good quality and will last a long time. Everything is height adjustable. He plays the drums and sings with his karoke mike that he also got from Santa. I highly recommend this set....again,it is WELL WORTH THE MONEY!

This review may sound a little too critical for a kids set, but I hope this honesty helps you decide. I do like the set and I wasn't expecting great things but there are a few areas that really should have been better. I'll run through each item with a brief description.Drums:*Snare drum - Shell & rim construction are fine. The skins will hold up to gentle use. The snare is just a brush of wires set against the upper skin which can be adjusted for pressure by turning the side knob. Apart from the snare sound being fairly awful, the drum itself is a lot quieter than a real snare which may appeal to many parents. (I wasn't expecting to use this snare and ordered a 10 inch Pearl Firecracker to replace it, which is great but very loud.)*Toms - Shell & rim construction are as the snare and sound really good when tuned up.*Floor Tom - Shell & rim construction are the same, legs seem good and plenty sturdy with good height adjustment...
