Works--and how, once dogs are trained to it.
Bought this model Remington dog whistle on Ebay a few weeks ago and, in a very short time, the dogs respond very quickly when using it. Don't expect a dog to know what to make of this whistle until you employ three necessary components to properly introduce the whistle to your dog.The three componets:1) Remington dog whistle2) An obvious association of the whistle with a reward for the dog3) A pork roast (or some equivalent)I just blew the whistle in the presence of the dogs and immediately feed them small slices of cheese or cooked pork. Once, I blew the whistle in the morning as I was handing out the dog bowls in the kitchen. This association with food was not done quickly over a few days, but done randomly over about 10 days, with no demand that the dogs respond to the whistle or any early attempts to see if it yet would cause the dogs to come running over from afar. I just tried to tie the sound to food without expectations...

good whistle for the price
My dog responds very well to this whistle. It has a barely audible tone to the human ear, but Calypso seems to be able to hear even the lightest of whistles. My one and only complaint is that the plastic cover that goes over the tuning knob fits loosely, and the key chain loop is on this cover; I had to secure it with a piece of tape. Otherwise, excellent whistle.

Dog Training Whistle
The Dogit dog training whistle helped me control my two Chihuahua's barking. Everytime they barked, I blew the whistle and they would stop. I guess they didn't like the ultra sonic sound it emitted. Every once in a while I have to reinforce their bad barking behavior, but it's getting to the point where I have to do that less and less. Great product for the price.

General Caution - PET SOLUTIONS
For any item not purchased directly from AMAZON, but offered through AMAZON by a store please find out the shipping costs. This simple Dog Whistle was purchased by me from PET SOLUTIONS. The one ounce whistle was packaged in a big box and they charged me $9 for shipping.A smart choice would have been to use a bubble enevelop, and shipping would be under $2 and PET Solutions would have retained me a a customer.

Works Great!
Bought one of these due to the neighbors dog barking at me and my kids everytime we are in our backyard. My wife tried to make friends with the dog a few months ago and got bit. The dog is a female mutt about 5 years old and weighing about 50 lbs. After I received the unit I put in a battery and headed outside. Immediately the dog ran to the fence and started barking and growling at me. I pointed the unit at the dog and pressed the button. The dog stopped barking turned it's head slightly to listen to the sound, and ran away with it's tail down! After doing this twice in a 2 day period the dog does not bark at us in the yard anymore! Anytime it sees me or my family it quietly goes back into their garage. We can finally enjoy our backyard without the constant barking noise! The noise is NOT audible to us at all. The other reviewers must have received a defective unit.

My "mute button" for my dog!!!
Before buying anything expensive and fancy to stop your dog or other dogs from barking, try this one first. I bought this product specifically for training/stopping my dog from barking. My dog pretty much barks at anything and everything. It was embarrassing and everybody is pretty much scared of my 14 pound mutt. Living in the city, it became a two person job to take our dog out to go potty; one as a lookout to check that nobody and nothing is around, and the other to hold the dog. We have tried a lot of things to stop him from barking. I was very skeptical at first since this product is sooo inexpensive and we've tried many things that were much more expensive that did not work. I figured, $10 bucks...what the heck. We tried it out the same day it came. As soon as he started barking we would say "quiet" and when he didn't(like usual), I pushed the button once and he stopped barking right away. Amazing! Worked like a charm!
I was very hesitant and not at all convinced when purchasing this item.One of our three-year-old Yorkie-poos started to bark obnoxiously for no reason non stop every evening. As my husband sat on the couch Tucker would jump at my husband and bark. We had no idea why! It drove us almost insane. All of the dogs needs were met - but he would seem to do this just for attention, and as the weeks went on it became unbearable.We tried everything! So this little item was my last shot. I SWEAR I only used it once or twice for one evening, and said said "no bark" as I quickly pushed the button. Tuck immediately stopped barking and ran upstairs. The second night (and ever since) I only need to say "no bark" and he clearly gets it. This little thing was a life saver. My house is so much quieter! Works Well
I was somewhat apprehensive about buying an ultrasound device for dog training, because some of the other products were given lukewarm reviews. But at $20 for this handheld device, I thought I'd give it a try. Well, I am thrilled. This is not an overstatement. My husband and I have dogs that are barking breeds. And bark they do. One starts, and it's pandemonium. We have been going crazy. Nothing stops them once they begin. This little device is the only thing that works. I pair a hand gesture with the Pet Agree. I put my hand out toward the dog as if I'm telling a car to stop, palm out. At the same time, I push down in two short bursts on the Pet Agree. Everything immediately goes silent. The dogs don't like the sound. My hope is that they will eventually stop barking with my hand motion alone, and I won't need to use the Pet Agree anymore. I recommend this product.

Better than expected
I was skeptical whether this product would work given the price and give than my dog is a beast. You don't even have to point this at the animal and it works. I have a very aggressive and hyper german shepherd and this brings her right to attention. I wish I would have purchased this a long time ago before purchasing a shock collar.After opening the box, I realized that this is the same training aid my professional dog trainer uses.

Ultrasonic Devices alone won't work.
I have been a professional dog trainer for 30 years. I have used the Pet-Agree product and it does what it's supposed to do: delivers a high-frequency sound that only dogs can hear (although if you put it up to your own ear you will hear a faint sound).I think the reason people reviewing this product are saying it doesn't always work, or wears off after a time, is due to the fact that ultrasonic devices ALONE won't solve your problems! (1) You must first determine why the dog is doing what it's doing, and often that will be something in the environment/lifestyle that you need to change; (2) the purpose of the ultrasonic device is merely to INTERRUPT the behavior long enough for you to reward the brief stopping of the behavior and then insert a more appropriate behavior into the "void" you created by using the ultrasound (counterconditioning). To just point the device at your dog and press a button (as if it were some sort of "magic wand") might work sometimes, but it...

Pleasantly Surprised!
We just received ours today and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered 3 of them for our kids to use when camping. The whistle is a good quality, loud safety whistle. Perfect keychain companion
