GREAT stand !
Great stand at an amazing price! A tiny little bit shaky while its a boom stand with a heavy cymbal but if u position it right its not shaky at all.Quick and easy configuration and deconfiguration!Its a boom and a straight which is EXTREMELY convient. I love it!

Pacific Drums Percussion 700 Series Straight Cymbal Stand review
This is a good straigt cymbals stand for the $$$. Keep in mind that it does not extend that tall, if you need a tall stand. Check the dimensions before purchasing. The name brand of the stand is not as important and the quality of cymbal you are using. Even more important is the player playing the cymbal. Hope this helps!

Outstanding Quality for the Price Point
I bought these as an upgrade to my son's drum set. I tend to favor the Pearl equipment and had reviewed several of their stands when I happened to see these stands on Musician Friend. As a result of the low price, I had my doubts about the stands, but the reviews were glowing so I took the plunge. You should too, these are outstanding stands. When I opened the box and felt the quality of the stand, I was amazed. They have all of the features of the Pearl stands that I reviewed in the $150 range.The finish is perfectly smooth and there is the right balance of weight to the stand. The boom completely hides in the stand body when you need to transport the stand. You can adjust the height via the extension and the three legs. You can adjust the tilt angle of the boom and of course you can rotate both the extension and boom 360 degrees (the boom has knurled sections, which improves the holding clamp's grip). These are Amazing!
I find these boom stands to be amazing. They take the beating I make them endure, and they do it well. I play thrash metal and so when I smack the cymbal, I really smack it hard and so not only do the stands bear the weight of a heavy cymbal but the withstand the beating too!

A whole lot of cymbal stand for the money!
I am a begginer drummer and I bought 2 sets of these (4 stands in total) to mount a set of Sabian B8 cymbals I just upgraded to, specifically for 3 crash cymbals (14", 16", 18") and a 10" splash. I bought them because they were boom stands and inexpensive. They worked perfectly well, they are sturdy (for light use) and stable. In fact, I thought they were much better than other cheap stands I have seen and they provide much of the quality/functionality of much more expensive stands I have seen at stores. At $30 per stand I think they are a great deal.

GREAT for the money!
I purchased 6 of these stands. I'm going to get another 6! My drums are played AT HOME, so I don't know how much these stand would hold up to "real world" use, but for the money, they're really good.

You get what you pay for
This is quite obviously not the greatest boom stand on the market, but for the price, what do you expect? It doesnt hold up very well, the arm jiggles, the adjustable wingnut is cheap (I reccomend replacing it right off the bat) and when you adjust the arm's angle, the arm usually just falls out. But, again, this is what you $20 worth will get you. I reccomend searching around, there are many nice cymbal stands on sites such as Amazon or Musiciansfriend that are just 10 or so dollars more, definitely worth it.

quasi decent cymbal stand
I suppose it's not fair to sit here and criticize this cymbal and its features, because to be honest, what should a $20 cymbal indeed be like? A fairly legitimate cymbal grabber arm and clamp together is at least $30 so why should this quasi decent boom stand be $20 if it's not cheap? It is good enough to do the job, but it is a light-med weight, and is not the strongest you can find. If you are looking to save money and pick yourself up a cheap stand, this is good for you. But don't think that when you punch in your credit card number, that you are walking away with any sort of steal on this one. I hate to be a bubble buster, but this is not a great stand, it's good for a starter, or for a backup stand, but if you invest a plethora of ideas and time into drums, look for something better

Fantastic BUT
I must say I love this RC stand. I love it so much that I bought a 2nd.It is the lowest price hi quality boom stand on the market.The hardware somehow manages to be light and tight and rigid and still manages to support the heaviest of RC's at full boom arm length.My only disappointment and surprise is (and this is my 2nd stand), Pearl has elected to supply felts that are way too generous, almost exposing cymbals to the threads on the cymbal arm.But this is easily remedied by switching to shorter felt.

Pearl makes great hardware...
I sold drums at a large retailer for years... Pearl's hardware is without peer in terms of overall design, usability, durability, price and quality. I seem to destroy all drum gear, and usually on a gig unfortunately, but the Pearl stuff stands up. DW hardware (other than the pedals) is a joke, as is Ludwig, Gibraltar... I really believe that Pearl hardware is the best overall gear on the market. WHATEVER you do, just don't buy the DW Taiwanese pot metal garbage... they charge WAAAY too much for it and it just strips, snaps, breaks all day long.
