Excellent!
These cymbals sound incredibly like Zildjians. (Of course, the founder of Sabian was a member of the Zildjian family!) You cannot go wrong for the price. I bought them to complement the new Ludwig trap-set I ordered from Amazon, and am absolutely thrilled with their quality, sound, responsiveness, timbre, etc. A terrific purchase.

Great price, ok cymbals
This is a great pack of cymbals especially for begginers. The hi-hats are great, good sounding, the ride is very good and great sounding, the crash on the other hand is good sounding at first but then i don't know what it is but mine started to sound very dull, but great set over all.

GREAT beginner's set
Got these with my first drum kit, and they've served me well. They're extremely well-made, they sound leagues better than comparable Sabian, Paiste, and Zildjian cymbals, and they cost less to boot. Meinl is such an underrated company, but they're slowly getting the recognition that they deserve.The hi-hats are nice and crisp, with not too much sustain. The crash is nice and cutting, also with a relatively short sustain. The ride has a surprisingly good bell, and it generally sounds good no matter where you hit it. I've beaten the crap out of these with some very thick sticks, and after polishing 'em, they show almost no signs of wear besides faded paint. No dents, no cracking, nothing. They still sound as good as when I got them.These obviously not as nice as cymbals that are twice as expensive, but absolutely awesome for what they are. Want a good-quality beginner's cymbal that can take the beatings handed out to it from new players? This set is for you.

Great sounding starter kit!
I bought a DDRUM D2 5 piece kit which comes with 14 inch hi-hats and a 16 inch crash/ride. I did not like the sound of the packaged cymbals from day one! They sounded weak and tinny, I was looking for a relatively inexpensive replacement with something balanced between good sound and price. I think I found it with this purchase. These cymbals have great resonance and feel. The crash has a quick decay, the ride has a solid feel and the hi-hats have a great chik as well as sizzle feel. I recommend these highly to anyone unhappy with their default cymbal setup or as entry level. To top it off they look great in highly polished brass! It's a great deal for the price!

Good Value
I bought these in the winter. The hi hats are kind of cheap sounding, but the crash sounds great. You get what you pay for so this set is great for starters. I'm super stoked and glad i god these!

Does the job, but...
These are just barely okay for me. We needed something affordable and this was definitely more affordable than most. Even with my extremely low expectations of these I am still disappointed in the sound quality and expected more from Zildjian, they sound very tin-like. But they do the job allowing me to practice but I would honestly be embarrassed to play them in public and I am not afraid to let my children go crazy on them as I would be with other expensive cymbals. I am giving them three stars only because they are better than nothing. But, I would never purchase these again though, maybe I would use pie plates instead...sorry Zildjian.

Average but they'll work
I wasn't expecting that these cymbals would sound like a pack of zildjian ZHT's so i wasn't mega disappointed when i tried them. They are definitely less than your pro cymbals or even intermediate but they pass.The Cymbals themselves (crash and ride) are pretty ok for the price. you get a nice bright sound coming from them. the onlything is that the decay is extremely short. i figure that is good for the small room i have the drums in. The Hi-hat leaves alot out. They are the worst of the pack. I must admit they have a nice sounding 'open' and 'semi-open' sound but the 'chick' it TERRIBLE. I dont know how they got that done. the bright piercing closed hat and pedal hat sound you look for in hats are missing. Thats why i gave it a 3. they aren't absolutely great but i guess for the price you can work with them.

You get what you pay for
This is a great set for a young aspiring drummer. Finishing is rough and they sound very thin and tinny. If you are at all serious about cymbal tone, fork out the cash for a good set but if you are looking to introduce music to a young player, they make a great starter set.

zildjian zbt 4 pro cymbal box set
zildjian has always made excellent product,but on these cymbals i have to be honest ,i think they sound kind of bellish and the bell keeps ringing long after the hit. what i did like was the high hat cymbals .i thought they sounded right .maybe i should of gotten the thinner set. thanks
