Outstanding Student clarinet
I am a beginner adult student. After taking my first few classes, I decided to buy a modest clarinet to replace the rental.Out of the many options available in the market, I decided to go for a well known designer/manufacturer (Selmer) building these inexpensive instruments in China.To the best of my surprises, the Prelude CL711 sounds much better than the rental (Armstong) at a very reasonable price tag (equivalent to 10 months rental)...If you decide to make a similar move, consider buying a good ligature to replace the factory-included metal one... (the best $15 spent in my musical life)I believe it was a very good decision... My next step will be to replace the original plastic mouthpiece for a rubber-made one (spending an extra $80)AlecG

GREAT QUALITY FOR A GREAT PRICE
I love it. For the price I paid I couldn't ask for more. I didn't want an expensive clarinet that I couldn't even take care of. It is easy to take care of, the sound is great, the case is really cool,... I would definitely buy it again.

great clarinet!
I am in 9th grade and i have been playing clarinet and alto saxophone since the 5th grade, and I am 1st chair. (our band just went to a festival and we came in first!)i wanted to get my own clarinet, so i bought this one, used, for two-hundred dollars. I know my music, and this clarinet has great tone, is good quality, and is reliable. i haven't had it for very long so i will be back with an update after awhile.It came with a new dri-bore swab and some cork grease, 2 barrels, and of course the rest of the clarinet. i really like how it does not look like its plastic even though it is. the case it comes with is nice too. the case is black with yellow trim, has a small zip pocket on the top, and has straps tucked in a pocket on the back so you could wear it as a backpack if you wanted to.I am very happy with my purchase so far and I am glad i bought the used one and saved 100 bucks, its in like-new condition.the case has just the right amount of storage...

Great Case
I got this case for my son. His case after a few years was really getting beat up. He has had it about a month and so far its been great. Good defined space for the instrument and extra pockets on the outside for reeds/etc. Nice and lightweight with all the protection.

This is a really nice case!
Got this case for my son's Clarinet. His hard case kept coming open on the way to school and class. Got him this one and it zips closed so no more latches popping open. Very well put together with high quality throughout. Handles snap together to form a single piece for carrying. Has a pocket on the side for reeds and extras and a shoulder strap for easier carrying. I highly recommend this case.

Very nice case, daughter loves it!
First of all, I want to note that the actual measurements of this case (at least the one we received) are approx. 12.75 in. x 8 in. x 4 in., which is different from the description. This is a very nicely padded protective case. My daughter loves the colors, and I love the fact that it protects her Bb clarinet very well. Even though this case was mentioned to be for an A clarinet (which is supposedly a bit larger), the Bb clarinet still fits perfectly. Again, very nicely padded. This was a replacement for the old original hard case which was banging my car and walls up every time she carried it. No more damage with this soft case! The case itself is "soft" on the outside, but by no means soft. It is very rigid and will not dent, bend, or cave in easily at all! I was hoping to have a pocket on the back that would be big enough to fit her music book as well (as it was getting a bit ruined from her carrying it in her hand). However, the pocket does not fit the Essential Elements book,...
