Easy choice for replacement
I needed to replace my old mouthpiece which had its cork compressed too tightly and no longer fit. This one replaced my "J & D Hite Premiere Bb Clarinet Mouthpiece." Don't bother with anything else, this mouthpiece is every bit as good as the premiere and is easier to play on than a Yamaha 4C, with no degradation in sound quality. If you're getting a mouthpiece for a plastic clarinet, this one is perfect. It fit perfectly in my Yamaha 250.

great sound
This mouthpiece helps my daughter to play much better than the more expensive she had and broke. We were worried that since it didn't cost that much that it wouldn't be any good but we were pleasantly surprised. I would recommend this to anyone and would buy it again should she happend to drop it again.

Even junk plays better.
I've had my Golden Tone 3 for three years. I love it. I bought a china made blue clarinet on ebay just for fun. As many people who buy these cheep things say, "replace the stock mouthpiece". Although it won't make cheep sound like quality, This mouthpiece will make them playable. Workes well with #2 and #3 reeds.

Nice for the Price
This item was specifically requested by my 16 yr old granddaughter who plays in a wind ensemble in high school. I could tell the difference immediately when she played for me, compared to her original mouthpiece. Much smoother fuller tones. Maybe not a "professional" level item, but a big step up from the standard issue. And my granddaughter was DELIGHTED.

Excellent
I'm using it with my Buffet clarinet, and it's terrific. Very easy to hit high notes (A) as well as low. At first glance, it doesn't have an open face, but it's very easy to play classical music.The most important part of the clarinet is your mouthpiece. Buy the best you can afford.

Great intermediate mouthpiece
This mouthpiece was purchased as a necessary tool for the instrument repair program I am currently enrolled in and I am very pleased with it. This mouthpiece is a very durable plastic that is very easily cleaned and provides great tonal capabilities. I would highly reccommend this mouthpiece for any beginner/intermediate player in need of a quality mouthpiece without a large price attached.

Very good mouthpiece.
Mouthpiece takes some getting used to, but afterwards, it works extremely well.The only reason why it's rated four stars is because the ligature that I am using doesn't fit that well on this mouthpiece. The ligature fits perfectly on my old one, just not this brand new.All in all, very nice mouthpiece. Recommend buying for intermediates.

A Good Mouthpiece
One day in practice i accidentally dropped my yamaha mouthpiece and it was just chipped of enough that i couldn't use it anymore. I'm only an undergrad student playing in the band just for fun so i just bought this mouthpiece because it was cheaper than the other selection. I've played the clarinet for ten years and the la voz mouthpiece is really not that much different from the buffet and yamaha mouthpiece i have owned and used before. I would recommend this mouthpiece to anyone who is just looking for a new mouthpiece that works just fine.

Perfect mouthpiece!
I am returning to the clarinet after a 12 year absence. I recently purchased a new Bb flat clarinet and had trouble with the mouthpiece that came with the instrument. I always used the La Voz mouthpiece when I played the clarinet religiously in high school so this was my first choice. Zero pain with this mouthpiece as I seek to improve my embouchure as I regain my Clarinet skills!

Daughter loves it!
My 10 year old said that it was much easier to play her clarinet with this new mouthpiece. She played a little for me, and I have to admit it even sounded better than the one she was using before. None of that honking business that was going on with the other :D. She's very happy with it.

Rovner is the best
My private teacher suggested that I get the Rovner 1r dark ligature whenmy old one broke. It immediately improved my tone, and allowed me to hit those high notes with ease. I recommend this ligature for all clarinet players, begginers or proffesional.

A "must" for the enthusiastic student
I purchased this ligature, along with my Selmer Prelude CL771.Two things helped in my decision...a. The metal ligature included with the original instrument usually sounds a little "cranky" (at least for the beginner)b. Metal ligatures usually leave marks in the mouthpieceEven as a beginner, I can perfectly identify the difference between the metal and this ligature... Sound comes out with a much more fulfilling and pleasant body.In conclusion: an inexpensive accessory that helps improving sound quality from the start!

Great Step Up Mouthpiece
Any clarinet player using the originally provided mouthpiece (stock) will find that the 5RV improves their sound dramatically. Many reputable middle and high schools require students to use this mouthpiece (or the B45). For students using an R13 Clarinet, they should be sure to get the mouthpiece that Selmer manufactures to fit that instrument - 5RV13 or B4513. If you're considering one or the other, it's best to try them both as they have different sounds and can help solve different issues for each player. The B45 has a wider opening (between reed tip and mouthpiece tip) and therefore allows a slightly fuller tone. But it comes at a loss of control, especially in the upper register. Another consideration would be the M15 (13 series!!! A=440) that a lot of high school and college players really like as well. Many companies will ship all three and allow you to test them first. If you're just looking for a quick improvement, the B45 is probably your best bet. If you're a...

Great But You Need to Read This to See if it's right for you
So I am an above average clarinetist and 13 years old. I am pursuing a musical career to be a conductor so I need to get extremely good at the clarinet and piano. Well I bought a Bufffet E11 and wanted a better mouthpiece with it; so I did some research and found the 5RV. SO I bought it and don't regret it it sound great and my three professional clarinet techers say I have the best combination I could have. So in the end I love it so far ONLY BUY THIS IF YOU ARE AN INTERMEDIATE PLAYER; maybe for a beginner to but make sure you or he/she is going to play the clarinet forever. I don't know if you should buy a Vandoren reed with this; I mean that Vandoren+5RV=meant for each other that maybe the case, but I don't know. BUY THIS MOUTHPIECE!
