misleading photos
I purchased this bass after scrutinizing the photo posted in the add . I looked very much like my Fender Squire bass and naturally I hoped for it to be a fender squire maybe an older model or being sold at this price for whatever reason . I turned out to be a Huntington bass . A lot lighter and thinner than my Fender products but What the Hey it was only 80 bucks . Well surprize surprize it plays great and sounds fine . I bought it for a practice instrument for my mountain cabin which is often unheated and empty so for that it is more than enough . For a beginner or even for a road ax for gigs where stuff gets stolen it is great .... Just use another photo without the decal over the head stock nothing to be ashamed about here Top to learn more

Good !
I was looking for a bass guitar for my bf a for our first xmas together and stumbled upon this one. I thought the picture looked a little suspect and didnt know if i wanted this one but i got it because of how cheap it was. after receiving it i fell in LOVE with it ! i wanted to keep it myself lol. it is so pretty, looks nothing like picture (except the color) and is very smooth. even better is that what it did not say in the description is that it comes fully packaged with a case, strap, cord for an amp, guitar cloth cleaner, and 3 picks. I give this 2 thumbs up! Top to learn more

Great beginner instrument
I've been learning to play bass with this model for about a year and a half, and I enjoy it thoroughly. It's lighter than some instruments, but still has enough mass that it has a good tone. The neck is maybe not as slender as some fancier, faster basses, but it's still quite comfortable. It stays in tune well, and I've never had any troubles with the knobs or electronics. With only a single pickup, and just knobs for volume and treble, you don't have much flexibility in sound. If you're just learning or playing for fun, this isn't much of an issue. The bass sounds great for a variety of jazz, blues and rock. One person I play with thinks the tone from this bass is nicer than one of his that cost about eight times as much.A couple of other thoughts... You'll want to find a local guitar store to help you make adjustments periodically (and perhaps with initial setup), or learn to do it yourself. I use a Behringer practice amp, and it's partially responsible...

Great value for a beginner bass
I paid under a hundred bucks. With a single passive pickup this isn't a high end bass, but I hadn't played in over 40 years and it lets me get back into music cheap. Good looking unit, good build quality. Wish it had flat wounds as the OEM strings are a bit buzzy, but if I get into anything other than hobby playing I'll make the investment. All in all it's a respectable deal and I'm happy.

Product Description
It is often said the "beauty is skin deep," but the Dean Edge Bass is clearly and exception. While beauty was the inspiration, we put every bit of our 20-plus years of design experience into these models. We started with a body styled and contoured for comfort, and to make them lighter we used choice basswood. The maple necks were profiled to be faster and sleeker than virtually all others. We designed a "uniquely Dean" custom neck joint and heel along with our asymmetrical four-bolt pattern, creating uninterrupted access all the way up the two octave neck. The Edge Bass is offered in four, five and six string models. Experience one of the world's finest basses. E09 M is the most affordable in the Edge Line. Top to learn more

I'm impressed!
This bass really impressed me...it is very light and the sound is quite good. It is an outstanding starter bass but has the feel of a more expensive bass. The amp is well small and work fine, but a larger model is really need to sustain powerful tone. I would recommend getting additional gig bag, cord and tuner....they all work but are not of the highest quality...but what can you expect from a packaged deal right? Top to learn more

Just what the doctor ordered
I just recently fell for the Bass. I was looking for a package, since I'm a noob and still have so much to learn. Based on the looks and reviews, this seemed to be the best bass kit for the price.Like many I was kind of worried after ordering, the contents of the negative reviews began to sink deeper into my mind, but it arrived yesterday and I have no complaints concerning the BASS. The accessories however, are pretty shoddy. The bag has NO padding and the strap is thin and actually hurts my shoulder. It would be suitable for a ukulele, not a heavy bass. These are two things I will need to replace very soon...ahhhhh more money.... I also have trouble understanding people's complaints about the amp. I may not know much, but this thing is LOUD and I never put the volume all the way up. I can see it being covered by drums, but i play with my obnoxious nephew on his electric guitar, amp and all, and have no trouble hearing what I'm playing. The instructional... Top to learn more

ROCK'N!
The package came quick with everything in tact and the bass was even strung already for me so all I had to do was tune it which was easy since it came with one. Great for beginners and experienced players. The amp and chord are small and definatley not meant to be used in gigs but I didnt expect it to be all ready for hard rockin' quite yet. I'll probably end up buying another amp and longer chord but neither that came in the pack are useless and seem to be otherwise of decent quality. Top to learn more

Oh, pretty nice!
This is a great beginners solution to starting on the bass. I haven't owned a bass in a few years so I got this small set for 3 reasons.. 1) The price range was right 2) Pretty looking bass 3) Built in tunerIt's not a most beautiful sounding bass or practice amp but its the right price point to find out if you want to invest the money into better equipment... and I bet you'll still keep this bass around as a stage back up or a practice bass.A Good buy for sure! Us bassists have it hard
More than often, you need a silent solution to practice bass wherever, and this product makes it possible. Although the strings obviously still make noise, it's perfect for those sleepless nights when you want to play and not bother anyone in the house. You can plug your ipod in it and play along your music, you'll just need one of those aux wires. Careful with the volume, as it overpowers some headphones and you really don't want to be blowing expensive headphones Top to learn more

Ultra compact, great soun & fx, but flimsier than it looks...
I recently purchased the Vox AMPlug for Bass, because it was the most compact headphone amp I could find for my travel bass. It truly is a great headphone amp with great sound and great FX. It's got that groovy and classic Vox AC100 bass amp sound that truly inspires. With the right headphones/earphones, I worry that I'm blasting my neighbors. Thankfully they can't hear a thing. The only initial negative is that the construction is flimsier than it looks. The battery door barely stays on, and the gain, tone and volume "wheels" are hard to see and access.Aside from that, I highly recommend it. Top to learn more

I use the expression pedal to add infinate delays when I want that sound, then just rock back on the expression pedal to lower the repeats and have it fade off. I keep my Seymour Duncan Twin Tube OD on on a low OD and add the TS808 over the top for some great sounding solo tones.
Before you begin to play the exercises, you might want to set your metronome at 60 and practice clapping each of these rhythm–2 notes per beat, 3 notes per beat, and 4 notes per beat. Practice these exercises faithfully and you will be amazed at the difference in your bass guitar playing. I will be writing a whole series of articles about playing bass guitar. When you do this, the last note of the eighth note exercise will become the first note of the triplet exercise. The lst note of the triplet exercise will be the first notes of the sixteenth note exercise. com/bass-guitar-scales-practice. This exercise forces you to play the notes a little faster than the eighth note exercise. Important Note: The mathematics of this exercise work out so that you must play the scale through 3 times before the accent will again fall on the beginning note. We play this exercise four time through , not only to increase your speed, but also to build your endurance–your ability to play faster for longer periods of time.
